The Firm

We built this firm to resolve disputes, not to prolong them.

Founded on a simple belief: quality legal counsel shouldn’t require a Fortune 500 budget. We provide strategic dispute resolution and probate services with transparent pricing and a genuine commitment to our clients’ outcomes.

What we believe.

These aren’t slogans. They’re the principles that shape every engagement, every conversation, and every decision we make on your behalf.

Clarity over complexity

If you need a translator to understand your own legal situation, something is wrong. We explain every option, every tradeoff, and every next step in plain language. Always.

Resolution over conflict

Escalating a dispute is easy. Resolving it takes skill. We measure success by how efficiently we close matters, not by how long we can keep them open.

Transparency over tradition

Flat fees for out-of-court work. Clear hourly rates for court. Written agreements before we start. No surprises. No exceptions.

Meet the team.

Attorney-led. Personally invested. Every Amicus Lex engagement is handled by an experienced attorney who knows your case, not passed between associates or paralegals.

Garrison English, Esq., MBA

Garrison English, Esq., MBA

Attorney

Garrison English started his legal career with one conviction: that most disputes don't belong in a courtroom. After earning his J.D. and MBA from the University of Mississippi -- an unusual combination he has put to use every day since -- he built his practice around a simple premise: get your client out of the dispute as fast as possible, as cheaply as possible, without sacrificing the outcome. He is licensed in Texas, Iowa, and North Dakota, and personally handles every matter he takes on. He does not hand files to junior associates or let cases drift. When you work with Garrison, you work with Garrison.

Bridget Sciamanna, Esq.

Bridget Sciamanna, Esq.

Attorney

Bridget Sciamanna spent more than 25 years inside corporate legal departments before joining Amicus Lex -- which means she has sat on the other side of the table from attorneys like us. She knows exactly how opposing counsel thinks, where they have leverage, and where they are bluffing. That perspective is worth more than most attorneys' entire careers. Bridget is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and focuses on estate disputes, pre-litigation counsel, and transactional matters. She earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.

Recent matters.

A sample of the situations we have helped clients navigate. All details are anonymized to protect client confidentiality.

Estate Dispute / Texas

Adult children believed a late-in-life will revision was the result of undue influence by a caregiver. We built a pre-litigation record and secured a negotiated settlement without court proceedings.

Business Dispute / Iowa

A contractor was owed significant payment for completed work under a verbal agreement. Demand letter and structured negotiation recovered the full amount owed within six weeks.

Employment / Pennsylvania

Client was terminated days after filing an internal HR complaint. We documented the timeline, identified the retaliatory pattern, and negotiated a severance settlement without filing suit.

Probate / Texas

Executor of a mid-sized estate needed guidance through the full probate process, including contested creditor claims. Matter closed within the statutory window with all distributions made cleanly.

Trust Dispute / New Jersey

Beneficiary discovered trustee had been charging excessive fees and delaying distributions without cause. We filed a formal demand and petition for accounting. Trustee settled within 60 days.

Personal Injury / North Dakota

Client injured in a commercial vehicle accident suffered lost wages and medical expenses. Demand package assembled and presented to insurer. Settlement reached before any suit was filed.
